Why have i created couzens classrooms?
![Picture](/uploads/7/9/9/2/79928630/180577847.jpg)
Couzens Classrooms is an online tool that I have developed to be used as part of teaching in my Year 7 Science classes. The reason for creating this website is to allows students and parents to have access to what is being taught in the classroom and to have a central location where important files and information can be accessed.
I will be updating this site every few days and my intention for this site is to encourage students and parents to access this site on a regular basis throughout term 3 for Science classes 7.3, 7.8 and 7.10

about Mr couzens

My name is Mark Couzens and I am currently a student at Murdoch University. I am studying a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education specialising in Science. In term 3 I will be teaching the three year 7 classes as part of my University requirements with the guidance of Mr Frank Slee as my mentor who will be in the class at all times. I completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology at the Adelaide University in 2003 and went on to complete Honours at the Australian School of Petroleum specalising in Geology and Geophysics.....
So why have I decided to become a science teacher?
![Picture](/uploads/7/9/9/2/79928630/762711237.png?134)
Becoming a secondary science teacher has always been a goal of mine even when reaching the top level of the mining industry. Science has always been my passion from a young kid who loved nothing more than collecting rocks to looking at whatever insects I could find under a microscope. I still have a strong interest in Science today and want to share my love of Science with students so that they can hopefully develop their own interests in Science as a result of my teaching. Most of my previous work experiences have been in various science fields from earth science, geology, mining, geochemistry, geophysics, nuclear science, biology, environmental, hydrogeology and many more.
